MEETING NOTE
Pidgin Newsletter Template
Oge: It was worked on by Winverse and Xenos, it would be pidgin palour's editorial, (a bounty task) we would come up with the content. The template looks like BA newsletter, it would have an historical snapshot shop displaying major coin, (BTC,Β  ethereum), we would have our editorial piece, Author the piece and also have cover designΒ  (there would be cover design for every piece. We would still have this discussion later,Β  about creating pidgin palour podcast. But we would be introducing BA podcast for now.
We would have an "as E dey hot session" where every latest crypto and web3 gist in africa would be updated. We would have an airdrop session it will have every latest and legit airdrops for members.
A funny session (meme section) where people would laugh and be happy, it all be in pidgin.
Discussion
Weekly give a topic on web3, people could come up with topic on Web 3 for editorials.
ThinkDecade: who should target audience be for the primary newsletter for pidgin palour.
Oge: people that understand pidgin should be our target audience.
Scar: where the language is more dominant (west Africa )
Great: four major country that speaks pidgin are Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia and Cameroon, we see can see pidgin palour beyond west Africa, but we could also focus on major countries.
Olokoji: people that can't open email or use Twitter, won't be able to use or understand the newsletter, we should encourage graphic format for them to understand.
SpiritedF: how do we target west Africa
Xenos: YouTube Tiktok all social media handles.
Vicky: Feels we're focusing on rural people.
I feel we should focus more on audio or video. If we have podcast in pidgin, people will be surprised to see the review it'll bring. Let's focus more of our resources on audio than written.
Great: I get Vicky. I feel we should channel more energy on the audio and try to reduce the length of the newsletter. Maintain the newsletter but channel more energy on the audio.
thinkDecade: Let's develop the audio strategy. Let's look at the podcast, Twitter spaces. Let's talk about Twitter Spaces because it's literally owned by Crypto.
We're going to have a podcast team, so reach out to me if you're interested. We'll need a host and speakers. We'll start internally before sourcing for external speakers. Going into next week, we can have a pidgin podcast team.
The second one is the Twitter Space. I think it'll make sense if the Twitter Space is bi-weekly or weekly. Why don't we start bi-weekly.
We'll actually be looking into newsletter, I've got ideas for it, but let's look at the audio and twitter space first.
Vicky: Since we also have YouTube, the Twitter Space can be recorded and uploaded on YouTube.
thinkDecade: nice idea.
Scar: I have a crazy idea. I was thinking if we can make a how to session on how to pidgin.
Vicky: it's a good idea but I feel we should do something that'll make people want to learn it.
Vibes only
