- Helium (token name HNT) is building an “IoT” internet of things network that is now branching out into a private 5G network utilizing small miners you put into your house and help join this “mesh network” creating a decentralized network that cannot be censored or stopped by any government. Long range wireless and short range radio broadcasting allows this. They are using a blockchain to fuel the use of the network and miners earn HNT for providing the nodes in the network.
