What did we do since last meeting ?
  • Birdman: Been working on the set-up of the styled box components, good to learn, and the front-end work, which is not that difficult for him, but of course everything takes longer by yourself. There are lots of small tasks where others can assist. Now setting up wrapper components for all the screens. Might be good to ask others to help with making it look more pretty. The Web3 work is better handled by more experienced devs in that area, like Turninglabs ?
  • Birdman: Question about design: should we use the dark mode? In another Bankless project they wanted to use the playful theme. Maybe check with the design guild to go in the same style ? Being recognized as a Bankless product will bring trust to use the platform.
  • Yves: Let's work with the Figma files and design we have now to get to an MVP and improve the design further in the next phase. Make it work first, that's priority, and finetune later. Of course some small changes in font and colour could be done already. A pity there is no design system yet on other projects in terms of font/colour to keep the same branding.
  • Birdman: There are 3 main elements: Borrow - Stake - Deposit. We can start with one and then let others follow the same pattern.
  • Yves: like said in the Community Call meeting it's all about 'Buidling' now. Question is how many hours do we still need to finish off?
  • Birdman: What's left of work, how many hours, also depends on the skill level and experience of the devs. Bringing new devs into the project also takes extra time to bring them up to speed. It's not so clear who can help do the heavy lifting and who has how much time. It could take another 100-200-300 hours ??? For the web3 work and pulling data from the blockchain, Prad and Turinglabs can give a better estimate.
  • Abstrucked: First it's building the components, then the web3 has to be added. Question is also up to when do we speak of web3?
  • Birdman: web 3 can be put in 2 sections: First there is the form and going to for example your wallet. The other side is the right-hand sidebar that has information like for ex. the current eth price, collateration in the system..... that's data pulled from the blockchain/Liquity system.
  • Abstrucked: Is fetching the data not part of the liquity API ?
  • Yves: yes , should be
  • Birdman: Maybe we setup a liquity connector to interact with the liquity API. We need to dig deeper in the API and time needed.
  • Abstrucked: Let Prad and Turinglabs work on web3, as they can probably do the work faster. He is still learning but could do the work too, but will take longer. At the moment he can work less because of Covid in the family. Hopes to start working more again soon.
  • Birdman: let's get proof of concept with the throve dashboard to pull from Liquity API. Will work on feature branch with skeleton branch,.....
What's next?
  • Birdman: we need to get all in sync so we can do more. Get a better understanding of who can do what and put a date and goal and keep that in mind. He will be in de dev workroom over the weekend so everyone can reach out.
Action items
Create multisig to receive the kickback rate/income ( Katrien )
Estimate of the Web3 work still needed ( Turinglabs/Prad )
Everyone keep track of the hours spend on the project please
