How To Find A User's Discord User ID

Every user on Discord has a unique User ID that identifies them across all servers and channels. This is separate from the username which displays in chats and channels. The User ID is useful for identifying and banning scammers so that they can’t return with a different user name.

Do not click on suspicious and unsolicited links sent via DMs. You can report a screenshot of any messages you receive to @InfoSec Team, @Admin or in ⛔report-scams.

Please try to collect the Discord User ID as that will help us stop scammers that evade bans by leaving the server after sending their messages out.

Enable Developer Mode

Open Discord and go to your User Settings > App Settings > Advanced.

Toggle on the Developer Mode.

Copy the User ID

You can access the User ID from a Discord channel where they have posted:

Go back to the server or channel where the user is located.

Right-click on the user's name and select "Copy ID".

The User ID will now be copied to your clipboard.

You can also access the User ID from the user’s profile:

Open Discord and go to the user's profile that you want to find the User ID for.

Click on the three dots icon in the top right corner of the user's profile.

From the drop-down menu, select "Copy ID".

The User ID will now be copied to your clipboard.
