🎙Dev Interview Series + 🍴Forkable Repos & 📚Gitbook + Blog Posts
Description
The basic premise is to create content that provides insight to incoming talent to web3, specifically two sides of becoming a web3 dev:
1. 💻 Firstly, the technical side (doing the work and writing code), and
2. 🎙 Secondly, the "getting involved in communities and DAOs" side, to better understand the industry and where you want to fit into the equation!
The former will be in the format of forkable GitHub repositories (repos) (similar to BUIDL GUIDL), accompanying Gitbook ([https://steven-pham.gitbook.io/web3-squirtle-dev-docs/](https://steven-pham.gitbook.io/web3-squirtle-dev-docs/)),
and blog posts following my journey as someone aiming to be a dev. The latter will take form in video/audio podcast interviews with core devs from various protocols.
The idea revolves around helping people find the niche of work that they find most rewarding.
**Please note, this is all a rough draft and I would love more feedback and to build this with Gitcoin! So I am happy to discuss and work out details to get this to happen!**
📎 The project is outlined and summarized within a notion page that you can access here (please feel free to comment as you see fit!). Please see the description on the front page for navigation assistance. **Drafts of podcast details (pain points, past context convos with Gitcoin members, etc.), blog-post drafts, Gitbook draft, etc. can be found here:**

💵 **Expenses aside from compensation may include:**
- Podcast equipment and editing/uploading software subscription fees
- Honestly not too sure what would be needed here, but I think it could even be just done with my current headphones and my laptop with Youtube Live.
- POAP or other NFT gifts to attendees, interviewees, etc.
- Gas affiliated to it
- **Not sure:** On-boarding of other possible organizers (as I

✨ **Code-Repo Setup Inspiration:** I was actually inspired to do this idea after learning coding from a good colleague of mine who worked as a developer within a top 100 protocol this year. He had me working on design challenges that were bred from historical moments in DeFi such as the vampire attack from sushiswap (I worked on recreating the core functions that were used for that event for example).
I found this type of setup much more fruitful in true "sticky" learning vs UDEMY courses, etc.
Austin Griffith's programs (especially BUIDL GUIDL) is right in line with what I was thinking, aside from a few differences! I didn't know he had open repos set up the way he does, but it's great!

✨ **Podcast Inspiration:** Podcasts that I listen to often include: Mainly Bankless and Uncommon Core, as well as other podcasts here and there with crypto-focused topics (Delphi Digital, the Defiant, etc.).
In a past life I was an entrepreneurial mentor and loved discussing topics with different types of entrepreneurs focusing on all kinds of industries (physical product, SaaS, etc.). It has always been of interest to me to start a podcast! As well back in university, I had started several student groups (focused on environmental engineering and sustainable efforts), and held in-person AMAs with professionals (my background then was mechanical engineering).
---
🙋🏻♂️ **A bit about me:** I am a newer dev within the blockchain space, and originally come from a background in multiple industries of mechanical engineering (from start-ups of my own with protective hockey equipment in NHL to sustainable engineering with green buildings). Over the last year I had been working on my own blockchain startup with colleagues who both have worked in the web3 space (both for the past 4 years) as developers in well-known protocols.
Recently we chose to discontinue the start-up efforts (totally ammicable as we still grab beers to this day🎉), and now I am focusing on becoming a goo

Outcomes
The success of the Raid will be assessed via the following metrics (of which aren't exhaustive and open for any comments! 😊):
1. Amount of listeners (and later listens).
a. I think that gauging the community to see what topics of interest exist would be good to best set up the project for success. My interests may not equal everyone else's!
2. That a new monthly podcast is done at a minimum.
3. That new blog posts are created bi-weekly.
4. That coding content is created monthly at a minimum.
5. That the feedback of the community, including other workstreams, are heard and implemented into the program.

Start-Finish
Start: Right Away
End: 6 months from now?
✨ Note: I would really love to be involved still or continue leading it after six months. Although I hope this project will continue with or without me (thus be a DAO service!). My focus is to get into a protocol myself as a developer (thus the theme of the overall RAID lines up with my personal blogging, repo-creation in web3 niche industries, and personal goals).
Thus, the finish time frame with regards to me and this project really depends on how things shake out and the overall time commitment related to the scope of the work! Of course, how receptive the community is to the deliverables must be accounted for too!
