Weekly Group Meeting

Who can participate?
Any member or guest of the BANKLESS DAO, but each session at capped at 25 participants including facilitators.
This is an open group, meaning members who didn't join at previous groups can still join. (In a closed group, the same members stick through all the group sessions)
Having a mental health issue is not a prerequisite to attend a mental health support, everybody needs some human contact in this world of faceless code.

🙏🏼 Please be there from the beginning of the meeting. We will have a short "check in with yourself" meditation, breathing or other ritual before we start, so everybody can relax into the present. Thank you.

What are the proposed ground rules?
Partially copied and/or adapted from this document by @klobbermeister:

— Discussions are confidential. Members are bound not to disclose the contents of the sessions in any way that could identify members of the group. Remember, we are building trust and safety.
— Use "I" statements: Speak from your own experience by using "I" instead of “we," "you," and "us". We can only speak for how we feel, not how others feel.
— Be on time: Being on time shows respect for the process and others, and try to stay till the end.
— Tolerance: Tolerance is acceptance. We must be accepting of our differences in order to grow and learn.
— Please no dramatic, scintillating topics introduced just before the break or end of group process. It is disrespectful to others' recovery. Breathe: Breathing allows us to feel our feelings and live. Balance, pause, and meditate.
— Listen: Listening is way more important and healing than we might think. For ourselves and for others.
— Do not give advice, unless asked to do so: Do not tell anyone what to do or how to feel. Let them discover their own process. If someone asks the group for advice or feedback, try to think bout how it might help before answering. Speaking about own experiences with a similar topic is usually good "advice".
— No war stories: Do not get stuck in euphoric recall, glamorize, or romanticize about your issue/addiction/etc. If it were so great, we wouldn't be here.
— No power plays: Be respectful. Do not get up and leave or use negative body language (roll the eyes, shake the head, etc.) when someone is sharing.
— No rescuing: No touching, offering tissue or comfort when someone is sharing. Letting someone feel is a part of healing.
— No secrets: If someone is not feeling well, please share it with the group. It takes the power out of it.
— Expect and respect moments of silence: Quiet is a form or a process of seeking an answer.
What can I expect?

Share as much or as little as is comfortable. Please be respectful of the time we have for everyone to share.
You can also just sit in and listen, observing your own body, emotions and thoughts.
A way to offer and receive support based on a shared topic/experience. Even just deeply listening to others usually helps one calm down and gain insights. Sharing and unconditionally accepting others experiences, feelings and thoughts is proven to be healing, and therefore making us better people not just in crypto, but in our whole life.
If you want feedback/advice on your sharing, please tell the group.

What can I NOT expect?
This is not a substitute for medical/mental health treatment
This is not medical or mental health advice
How do I run this group as a facilitator?
Admin: create meeting, inform participants

The meeting should start with a short "check-in", for example with
3 Mindful Breathes
or a short meditation, relaxation... whatever seems appropriate. The idea is that everyone can come into the present, and become aware of their body, emotions, thoughts. (More on this will be added to this page).
It is therefore recommended that everyone is there from the beginning (ofc, you can leave any time you want).
People can then start to share according to our basic rules.
