Project Summary
The Moloch Traps series explores the concept of Moloch as a metaphor for society's self-destructive systems and incentives. Through the lens of the Meditations on Moloch essay by Scott Alexander at SlateStarCodex.com, this podcast examines various examples from history, biology, and economics to illustrate how competition often results in collective harm.
Each episode combines readings from influential texts with open dialogue between hosts, 0xZFi and Zombie Shepherd, focusing on one of many examples provided in the Meditations essay. The philosophical discussion seeks to reach an audience beyond the cryptosphere.
In these structured and thought-provoking discussions around the ways in which humans organize, collaborate, and work, we hope to attract more people to the decentralized and self-empowering technologies of web3.
