Description of your project
Nación Bankless is a subDAO of BanklessDAO with the mission to share with the Spanish-speaking community the benefits of web3 through the creation of a learning community, educational material through Newsletter, Podcast, Videos and Webinars, including of course memes, and more recently also the creation of dApps. We have been buidling this great project for more than two years, accumulating knowledge and experience while strengthening our mission.
How Arbitrum uses your project:
We believe that we need more tools for DAOs decision making, voting, posting and chatting and that is why together with 11 other projects we have created a round in Gitcoin x Arbitrum, where we are leveraging Latinamerican projects to create their own dApps for the Abritrum-verse. Boosting the entire ecosystem from the hand of builders and creators, with or without previous experience in web3.
Thanks to the support and success of this round, we will be able to create more Gitcoin rounds powered by Arbitrum to keep on-boarding more people to the ecosystem to build, test, and get familiar with Arbitrum.

In future Gitcoin x Arbitrum rounds we are looking to support developers creating dApps within the Arbitrum ecosystem, all of this coming soon in a thread on the Arbitrum forum 😉.
We have paid special attention to understand the evolving governance of Arbitrum, its mission, vision, and values, trying to contribute with more than just marketing or content proposals. We are bringing to the community our good vibes and a hands-on approach. When we got rewarded with ARB for the first time at the end of last year in the Gitcoin round we immediately started promoting Arbitrum through banners and intros in our Newsletter, Podcast, and YouTube videos. We got even more involved in the community Twitter/X spaces, hosted two of them ourselves along with the Thank Arb team and Arbitrum Foundation. And it’s only February. We are excited to keep learning form Arbitrum and sharing awesome content with our audience this year!

How does your project fit into this week's theme: unleashing the power of DAOs
In Nación Bankless we believe DAOs are the future of decentralized education, decentralized work, and decentralized funding, and we work towards creating the future we want to live in. We continuously learn about decentralization, DAO values, slashing Moloch traps (Coordination failure), gamification of experiences, incentives alignment, and other relevant topics that we share with Arbitrum, so we can teach others, in our Spanish mother tongue.

How do you plan to use the 2,500 ARB if selected as a grantee?
We are currently going through a reorganization within BanklessDAO and all independent projects have been given a break from the usual funding process, so we are relaying on our contributors vision alignment and other sources of funding to keep operations going.
🫂 40% of the funds raised will be allocated for guaranteeing a partial salary to our DAOists as retribution of working hard for the future of decentralized work without receiving much economic incentive. They will be encouraged to lock the funds for 6 months and delegate to our coordinator and hence start Nación Bankless’ representation in the Latinamerican governance and Arbitrum coordination. (but of course they will be free to choose to delegate to anyone they think best). We are going to create a group of governors with a unique representation to help us with the decision-making inside the AbitrumDAO.
🌱 30% will be used for the creation of three new Arbitrum aligned projects:
An outline of a Newsletter, Podcast, and Video publication tool with chain attestations, as a tool to maintain and demonstrate our commitment and the quality of the content we currently create. A tool that will be open to the public, in code, and in use for more communities to follow our example and growth.
An new set of educational material for governance basics, including incentive mechanisms design, autonomy and coordination, decision making processes in a DAO, Moloch traps, and more. This material will include short stories and article-lessons.
Also, we are going to continue minting our proofs in the Rari Chain.
Also with these funds, we are going to migrate all the tools to Push protocol notifications in the Arbitrum Chain, videos, and communication.
🏦 15% It’s going to the Nación Bankless treasury, also to be delegated to our chosen representative. This and other funds will be used in future Gitcoin rounds to keep the vibes in our community since we think that the coordination of the incentives and asking for applications that we need, it’s going to be easier to establish the commitments. Also, we decided to start our Communication Thread for our decisions inside Arbitrum Forum.
⚖️ 15% of the received funding will be swapped for Glo Dollar, as part of our commitment to help our world to fight against inequality and lack of education in the world.
We are the strongest Latin American and Spanish-Speaking DAO that encompasses self-governance, education, media and content creation, IRL and on-boarding events and is evolving to become a project incubator as well.
