You're part of Design, Marketing, Bankless Academy, AV Guild.  What are your roles in each of these?

Active member of Design guild

Just started in marketing guild (mainly to learn marketing)

Still trying to get into Bankless Academy, but hasn't been able to contribute yet

For AV guild did a project - storyboards for 30s video for Academy

How do you get "jobs"?

For design, people will come into #job-postings in Design guild and ask for work

usually one of the "heads" will work with the incoming person and distribute the work

often they will get paid bounty after the work is done via tips or directly to wallet

sometimes it's 1-person, 1-job, but can often be collaborative

i.e. S2 invite - everyone in design was interested so they did an amazing collaborative job together

For the project she did for Academy/AV Guild - she was scouted

Droste and Floptimus Prime saw her work, saw she was fast, knew she did storyboards for her webcomic, so they invited her to do this work

VooDAOs were more independent - her initial sketches were for another project and they ended up getting picked up by Artist Showcase

they submitted the project to Kouros and CryptoBushi and they decided to use the VooDAOs in the weekly artist showcase

this one was a little difficult because DAOPunks came out on the same day, so gas prices were nuts - she was trying to send the VooDAOs to the DAO and it ended up costing hundreds of dollars

What do you think of the bounty board?

Doesn't look at it - "it's all greek to me"

it's hard to use it via #-bounty-board + DEGEN in Discord...she's used it but it's not easy to see what's available

Also, whenever she looks there are never any new bounties, so she doesn't bother

When she does bounties, it's usually through the design guild, not bounty board

gets paid in tips or direct to wallet

also is part of the design coordinape round

Have you seen the website? YES

it still looks like greek...

a lot of stuff that doesn't involve design (i.e. her)

most people don't even know they need a designer unless a designer pokes their head in the project chat and asks "hey do you need art for that?" (it's why a lot of designers have firehose tag)

design guild does NOT do UI/UX (that's AV guild)

What would it take for you to use the Bounty board?

Interface needs to be easier to read/understand

Needs description of work, how much they will paid, who is buying it

Needs to be easier to understand what’s being asked

Even without a bounty board, sometimes getting someone who needs design work to specify what they need is HARD

i.e. thing she did for education guild - the person is not a designer, not a visual artist, they don’t KNOW what to ask for. Didn’t know how to change, got stuck on a design

You have to know:

What you want it to look like - can’t just ask for a logo (need some direction)

Otherwise you end up with tons of change request

Clear understanding of how many changes can be authorized for budget

More changes = more time, if you throw stuff out, you need to compensate for it

i.e. sketch before work, then includes 3 rounds of iterations (major changes) after sketch

Dimensions - square, round, etc

POAPs have a specific dimension (perfect circle of a certain size)

What will it be used for?

Logos and illustrations - they need to know where it’s going, what it’ll be used for

i.e. does it need to be fully scalable? SVG. JPG and PNG take much less time

Detail level needed (i.e. sketch vs high-fidelity)
