  • A few action items were completed as of last meeting. Guilds in general are becoming much more organized. The Project workflow proposal has been posted, with some generally positive feedback.
  • wolfher put together a write-up for reelecting signers for multisigs: link
  • Frog's priority for the next two weeks is the Season 2 spec. He expects to have a proposal up by September 3. Give a week for feedback, and then it goes to Snapshot for vote.
  • Season 1
    • Season 1 had two very specific priorities: Season MVPs and generating revenue.
  • Season 2
    • Nailing down project workflow:
      • Better codifying how projects are spun up
      • Making sure there are project updates
      • Making sure that people are getting paid for their work
      • Work out the infrastructure on how to go from project idea to funding and implementation and project maintenance.
    • Kouros: we shouldn't figure out new priorities every season; happiness of DAO members is important, and should be proliferated across the DAO as a priority. A "Happiness Manager" role, not "HR."; we should emphasize projects over guilds;
    • Yves: Code, content, design, which makes up 80% of our guilds; making sure we're spending less than we earn; look for external grants to pay for projects that may not bring in revenue but are necessary nevertheless; we currently value one hour of work at 1000 BANK; did we ship enough products and services to allocate 10k hours?; numerous projects per season may be an issue, perhaps a limit should be set on the number of concurrent projects; projects could be a better dominator for payment; there's a good 50 people active, based on contribution and attendance through Notion—is this the number we work with in determining UBI?; at what stage should UBI incentives be paid?; not sure we need a UBI, or can afford it at this point; overall priorities will be impacted by what guilds commit to; there's an issue in emphasizing guilds over projects; guilds should have their own autonomy, but should align with the DAO's priorities;

    • Grendel: UBI is something that should be decided;
    • Frog: we don't need to have an answer to UBI by the time Season 2 rolls out, this could be a broader discussion surrounding happiness and retention; what can we do to retain talent within the different compensation mechanisms we have; we don't want to get too specific with what we want to accomplish with season 2; supporting revenue-generating activities, supporting projects to that end, and supporting guild services; maybe the priority of Season 2 is doubling down on those projects, discussing budgeting and revenue splits, normalizing splits across the DAO; the second priority may be what is the best way to support these projects?; each guild needs to have its own priorities established going into Season 2—treasury diversification, accounting, and funding is important, as priorities for the Treasury Guild—in essence, what is the product to be delivered for benefit of the DAO, as a sort of public commitment to the DAO?; Bankless Academy will be huge in onboarding people into crypto; guilds vs. projects prioritization: projects will drive the Bankless mission;

    • The Projects Proposal will establish that projects need a forum post to be funded, and thus the Grants Committee will be a sanity check.
    • Budgeting for guild distributions, project funding, and adhoc functions and projects

    • Fill out a Tally form to auto-populate Notion database or table.

      2) What announcements do you have for DAO Members?
      3) What was your biggest challenge in the past week or month?
      4)What is your top ask from DAO Members or wish list item?

  • upon completion of the survey the courier feature would then post the results into an Ops Guild channel and Ops Guild would be able to scan the pulse of projects, their needs, and what they think are achievements.
