[L2 Contributors] How to create a Role in Discord

This guide is for level 2 contributors who would like to create a new role. You MUST HAVE 2FA ENABLED to use these privileges.
  1. Right-click the BanklessDAO server, navigate to Server Settings and select Roles.

  1. Click Create Role and navigate to the Display setting
    1. Title the role
    2. Turn ON Allow anyone to @mention this role

  1. Head over to the permissions tag. All the default settings should be standardized, but check to make sure the following permissions are ON ✅
    1. View Channels
    2. Change Nickname
    3. Send Messages
    4. Send Messages in Threads
    5. Create Public Threads
    6. Create Private Threads
    7. Embed Links
    8. Attach Files
    9. Add Reactions
    10. Use External Emojis
    11. Use External Stickers
    12. Read Message History
    13. Use Application Commands
    14. Connect
    15. Speak
    16. Video
    17. Start Activities
    18. Use Voice Activity
    19. Request to Speak
    20. The following permissions should be OFF ❌:
      1. Manage Channels
      1. Manage Roles
      1. Manage Emojis and Stickers
      1. View Audit Log
      1. View Server Insights
      1. Manage Webhooks
      1. Manage Server
      1. Create Invite
      1. Manage Nickname
      1. Kick Members
      1. Ban Members
      1. Mention @everyone, @here, and All Roles
      1. Manage Messages
      1. Manage Threads
      1. Send Text-to-Speech Messages
      1. Priority Speaker
      1. Mute Members
      1. Deafen Members
      1. Move Members
      1. Manage Events
      1. Administrator
  1. Hit Save Changes.
  1. You can assign tags in two ways:
      • One-off: Click on a user's profile and the + icon under Roles. Then assign the tag.

      • In Bulk: Navigate back to the role in Server Settings and click on the Manage Members tag. Here, you can Add Members in bulk
