Clarifying The Three Main Value Props of Passport for Integrators (June 2023)

Hey Jeremy,
This has been a very productive week in which we spent a significant amount of time contemplating the importance of case studies. We're particularly interested in a case study that corresponds to each use case (e.g. faucet) and unique value proposition (compared to other competitive Sybil prevention solutions). We've even drafted a matrix of different case studies we're looking to develop in the next few months.
During our discussions, we noticed some discrepancy between the value propositions in the Gitcoin Passport messaging document for integrators and the ones we brainstormed in our three-way sync. Laura and I are keen on establishing clarity on this matter. Specifically, we're looking to determine the three core value propositions for integrators to avoid any confusion.
  1. Firstly, we're considering 'Ease of Integration' which could be combined with 'Ease of Use.' While we're emphasizing the simplicity of integration with just a few lines of code, we should also ensure that further customization and reconfiguration are just as straightforward.
  1. Secondly, we're contemplating 'Industry-Leading Sybil Prevention.' This proposition hinges on our ability to aggregate various identity solutions like BrightID, POAP, ENS, etc., into a highly effective Sybil-reducing solution.
  1. Lastly, we're looking at 'Developer Flexibility.' We want to offer our integrators the freedom to create their own solutions, instead of being confined to our default Gitcoin Grants-based prevention algorithm.
  1. ADDENDUM: I am also adding β€˜Gitcoin's Reputation’: The fact that Gitcoin is trusted in web3 and has a reputation of stopping bots and bad actors. This builds trust with integrators but also gives integrators ease because they expect their own users to trust something built by Gitcoin (over most other orgs).
Can you see any major value proposition that surpasses any of these and is missing from this list? If not, it'd be great if we could create a matrix mapping the type of integrator (like faucet, etc.) to the key value propositions: Ease of Use/Integration, Industry-Leading Sybil Prevention, and Customizable Gating.
I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts on this. Thanks for your hard work this week.
Best, Gary
