Where are we ?
  • Birdman: Maybe we are about half way the work now ? I want to have a team in place for season 2. Now is the time for more devs to get familiar with the mockups, they are pinged in the channel. If you compare with the github issues you can walk through the project. We need some committed devs to help out. It's been hard this season to get momentum. We need to figure out how we can keep things rolling easier.
  • Yves: WELCOME Eugenptr !
What are we doing next ?
  • NsHuman: I want to jump in where I can, but will be busy with other projects too.
  • Eugenptr: New here. Dev with interest in Web3 and digital nomad. From Roemania. Joined Bankless 1 week ago. I read about the project in the newsletter and joined to see where I can help. Where does liquity fit in the big picture of Bankless DAO ? I will spend more time on the Figma files and Github repos.
  • Yves: The original Bankless Youtube channel is all about Defi and liquity ties in with that. It fits with the mission to onboard a million people in crypto and interest free bankless loans is a great usecase. I will share some articles about the protocol. Bankless-Loans will generate on-chain revenue for the DAO.
What do we need to continue and finish ?
    • Yves: we have a shortage of devs that have experience and interest in Web3 and Defi. For liquity the backend is taking care off by the protocol. We need a few more people that step up to help. We have a grant so we just need a squad of people.
    • Yves: How many hours are still needed to ship an MVP ?
    • MrBirdman: The estimate I provided before is still valid, I would ask the grant given for this season to be rolled over for next season. We have about the same number of hours left. Main stack is NextJS, React and Typescript. The Web3 stuff is provided by Liquity. I will paste the estimate in the chat again. I could use the most help on "The Graph" side of things. We would use the graph for the layer with information from the blockchain.
    • NsHuman: I posted some links in the Bankless Loans channel with more information on "The graph".
    • Eugene: I will dive into this and am happy to help.
    • MrBirdman: My dreamteam: Eugene can help and if he has questions he can go to NsHuman. We need Brian his help on the Devops side of things and some time from Zberwaldt for salt and pepper. I can handle the react side and focus on functionality. That's the dream team for me.
    • Brian: I'm here to see what's needed for the infrastructure. Just let me know and I can help you setup.
    • MrBirdman: we'll need a versel deployment and netlify I believe. Pradhuma started but it's unfinished.
    • Zberwaldt can't really commit but can help with the Chakra needs. Or maybe find someone else to help.
    • Brian: maybe we need to create bounties for certain tasks and reward that way. It depends on how many bounties you want to create and how you want to split that up. There are some projects that worked this way. You can include it in the grant.
    • MrBirdman: Do you create a bounty for Devops too ? How is it tracked ? It will take time to set these up. We'll see.
    • Brian: yes we use bounties at Devops too. There is certainly interest in bounties.
    • NsHuman: instead of billing the hours you can say give me your bounty price.
    • Katarina: following the survey we did to get the hours spend by the whole team, we will do a first allocation for the work done. Seen we are about half way the grant if we just pay out for the hours, I believe we should do it this way.
    • Yves: I strongly believe in Coordinape as it's more decentralized, a combination of per hour and coordinape is a good way too, but in this project's case and at this stage now I think paying for the hours is best.
    • Brian: we have the experience in the Dev Guild that Coordinape does often leave Devs unhappy as it gives a feeling of uncertainty.
    • Katarina: I will create a poll in the project channel for the allocations so the others that are not here can vote too to get general consensus and pay out.
    Action items
Share articles with Eugene about liquity ( Yves )
Decide on Proposal for Grant for S2, making sure we have enough funds for next season, using estimate MrBirdman ( Katarina & Yves )
Create poll to decide on allocation method and activate the transactions ( Katarina )
