Before Deciding to do a Twitter Space
Before deciding to do a Twitter Space, consider consulting Gary on whether the purpose of a would be Twitter Space is clear.
And loop Gary in on the coordination thread with the integrating team so he can help make the process below happen 👇
Setting up a Twitter Space
Host Selection
Ideally, new integrators of Gitcoin Passport should host the Twitter Space. They know how to market to their community effectively.
Gitcoin Passport Speaker Selection
A member of the Gitcoin Passport team will be on the Twitter Space, so Gary will have to identify who that is. If it is a highly technical call, tap Jeremy or Olsen. If it relates to DevRel, tap Zakk.
Providing Basic Materials
Gitcoin Passport team needs to provide the hosts with basic materials, including a FAQ about Gitcoin Passport. This will assist them in messaging and marketing the Twitter Space event.
Recording Settings
The host should be encouraged to set the Twitter Space to recording, enabling the Gitcoin Passport team to use the content for clipping and sharing later.
Promotion of Twitter Spaces
Creation of Promotional Tweet
Once the Twitter Space event is set, the host should create a promotional tweet at least a few days before the event.
Retweet by Gitcoin Passport
The promotional tweet should then be retweeted by the Gitcoin Passport and Gitcoin Twitter accounts to amplify its reach.
Retweet by Gitcoin Passport Speaker
The Gitcoin Passport representative who will be speaking at the Twitter Space should also retweet the promotional tweet, showing enthusiasm for the upcoming event. They should also retweet any reminders on the day of the Twitter Space and post a tweet in reply to the Twitter Space event while it's happening.
Post-Event Recap
After the event, the marketing team will clip the recording and prepare a recap. Individual team members can also post organic recaps immediately after the event. This framework is subject to evolve over time.
Note: This guide is intended to serve as a baseline for best practices. Adapting and evolving this approach to meet specific needs and circumstances is encouraged.
