Talked about the purpose of the Governance Strategy Group:
governance strategies, just creating the strategic framework for people to assess and advise on governance design
- Talked about current problems:
- We don't have like good measurements for DAOs, standard practices and for good practices. So commanding tools out of the box can get very problematic if we don't take into account what kind of organization we dealing with.
- So governance is a foundation of every doubt, however, there is a lack of activity, engagement and participation within the governance process. What that means is that the same people are writing proposals, not enough people are voting on things so things don't get to be in quorum, so they're actually impacting their business bottom line.
- Purpose of Group:
- Explore the Use Cases of DAO tools and effectiveness: To create the strategies in which we can pull from the information from the DAO tooling database ( Sergio is working on) so that we can have the list of tools but then assess the cases behind it, to make informed decisions.
Ideas on Approaches/Deliverables:
- creating decision trees, having case studies and kind of like scenario planning, just to help based on so once consultant collects the facts, you know, they can look at different scenarios and do certain scenario planning with that.
- Submit a report
- Creating assessment criteria, case studies with the purpose of showcasing the best use case for tools (engagement, activity, etc)
- reviewing incentive structures
- more informed decision making by following a framework
