MMM Events/Travel Policy

How MMM reimburses travel to events
MMM's events/travel policy is closely based on the policy developed by DAO Ops. There are a couple of exceptions to consider for the once-a-year event allowance:
  • This offer is open to any contributor consistently putting in more than 20 hours/week at MMM for at least 2 months.
  • Lodging and per diem rates for food will be covered to a maximum of 10 days/nights (unless the event is going on longer, in which case this should be discussed in advanced with the Workstream).
Some other things to keep in mind:
  • Exceptions to this policy can always be made - make sure to get in touch with the Workstream and start a dialogue about what is working/not working for you in this policy.
  • Let MMM's Workstream Leads know about your travel as soon as you know - this helps with ensuring that proper budget has been request to reimburse your trip.
All in all, make sure to be in communication with the Workstream and have clear agreements (rather than expectations) set before making any serious travel plans that you want reimbursed.
