Notes:
- Sam: What is one major problem you see as the main issue we should tackle over the next 2-3 seasons?
- Rotorless
- Timestamp
- There is a gap between unresolved logic between membership, tokens, that translates into contributor alignment.
- NFT membership, voting tokens, staking, etc?
- Manuel
- Timestamp
- Trying to create an environment to solve one main problem. The environment of being able to walk in, and pick up anything of interest to you, has been great to get started. Now we need to be more specific about our intention and goals.
- Saulthorin
- Timestamp
- Solving our compensation problems and incentivization structures. If we are going to be distributing resources to provide financial stability we need to be more focused on how we make those decisions to be more transparent.
- 0xJustice

- DAOs are our construct in the arms race for free speech. BanklessDAO is listed as one of the top DAOs out there so we have a responsibility to do this well. It’s about defining the bDAOs operating system and having an explicit map of what we do now.
- Above Average Joe
- Timestamp
- We are seeing the birth of an ideology that takes self-responsibility for our financial futures; that’s why we get rid of the banks because they are irrelevant. The structure that necessitates is what we are building for tomorrow.
- Sam: What would you do in the first 30 days?
- Saulthorin:
- Timestamp
- 1st job task analysis of all major guilds to get a better sense of all skills available to the DAO, to focus on roles. The approach would be to engage with guild leaders directly.
- 2nd, token focus. Smart contracts, staking, escrow voting, move away from Snapshot to Tally
- 3rd, Governance. How we vote, how approach working together. How to say no(funding and contributor effort)
- Manuel:
- Timestamp
- As a team, we need to create a strong foundation, how best to work together and understand each other's perspectives. Get on the same page as the 1st priority.
- Having a varied team on the GSE is good because we have different strengths. I would focus on the prioritization part while others can focus on their strengths in the GSE.
- Rotorless
- Timestamp
- GSE needs to come to a thorough understanding of the direction.
- How to say no is something that the GSE is going to have to learn(the happy medium between yes and no).
- My background is in risk management frameworks. That lens is how I would be operating.
- Example: the recent quorum situation could have been avoided with proper risk management.
- Above Average Joe
- Timestamp
- Understanding how the GSE works together internally and organizing efficiently is a top priority.
- Consensus gathering of each candidate's top issues and prioritize across that aggregated list. By balancing those priorities we can create an efficient order of operations.
- By doing this we create a priority list of targeted action points, allowing us to transparently be able to say no.
- 0xJustice
- Timestamp
- GSE 1st challenge is to create a taxonomy of the issues
- Guilds vs projects; structure and intent?
- 2nd, how, KPI’s, how is funding being judged?
- 3rd, governance; how to avoid voter apathy?
- 4th, financials; sustainability.
