A group of hackers (whatever color hats) incentivized to do the best thing for the DeFi space by intentionally hacking an unsecure platform for a reasonable bug bounty.
A bunch of other projects have themes that are close enough. For example, "In smart contracts we trust" or "Defi hacks by examples". I think if we make it into an ecosystem to foster a community of hackers incentivized by reasonable bug bounties, this could be possible.

I’d like to imagine a system that allows mass users to get trust in DAPPs and Smart Contracts as the HTTPS protocol has secured classic http connections.
I focus on smart contracts assessment in 2 directions: given the address of the contract a user is transacting with, how can he verify:
That he’s transacting with “the good” contract,
And if the contract implementation has been verified/audited against malicious operations and common bugs.
I know there exists different solutions to audit and verify a smart contract and there is transparency and verifiability by design.
But I think these guarantees are not sufficient for mass users, leading to possible large-scope scams as DAPPS will attract more and more users.
Validate the idea. Build a team to start development.

Firstly, authors have always been undercompensated for their work, receiving minimal royalties. Secondly, the book publication acts as a strong central authority which has the arbitrary power to determine what books get published and what don't.
Lastly, I believe a greater sense of value (in the form of books, music ) must be made available in the DeFi world for it to grow beyond.

Trueques aims to be a bartering platform for any business/entrepreneur where they can either directly exchange products or services, or exchange them for an NFT which can be later redeemed. This can allow small businesses to grow by directly exchanging value instead of using money.
An extra ambitious goal is for the blockchain component to be completely abstracted away, if users are only exchanging NFTs.

Reinventing data privacy and ownership. The ownership over money was reinvented with Bitcoin, Agadom's goal is to reinvent the ownership over User's data. The Users should control who accesses their data, for what purpose and to be rewarded for the accesses.
The goal here on KB2 to get feedbacks and validate the idea, to choose the right tech stack to work with, and to develop a POC. We are experienced developers, but still new to Web3. We invite any feedback, tips, ideas and ideally mentors to help make this crazy adventure a reality.

I'm building a digital time-resistant NFT-enabled treasure hunt for my unborn daughter for her to play in the future.
Anyone can play and find the clues, and solving them allows them to get NFTs as a way to move forward and prove they managed to solve the riddles. The riddles involve pictures, spatial data, and basic off-chain hashing to verify on-chain the actual solution of the puzzle.

Building a protocol and community dedicated to creating an ecosystem of location-based Web3 applications and spatial contracts. A modular architecture, each component useful on its own, but designed to work together.

I'm hoping this prototype will be a good starting point for a workshop later this year with the Indigenous Protocol and Artificial Intelligence Working Group. As a philosophical basis, pages 58-68 of the Indigenous Protocol and AI Position Paper has a great essay by Ashley Cordes (Coquille Nation) called "Gifts of Dentalium and Fire: Entwining Trust and Care with AI". Here is a quote: "This work will need to be rooted in respect, trust, mutual care-taking, and cognizance of the ecological impacts they/we create. Future research should recognize that discussions around how AI and blockchain may contribute to distribution, decision-making, and record-keeping for Indigenous social-good are not happening nearly enough. These conversations are especially important to have around currencies as intercultural communication technologies, which can be ascribed meanings colored by colonialism, but now reflect different terrains of meaning such as survivance, sovereignty, tradition, and futurity"

Learning to be a security auditor

Can possibly be part of Security DAO i am thinking.
While we still have several strong audit teams in Ethereum, smart contracts are still being hacked and people are still losing money. One weakness I've seen from audits is they try to be a "catch-all", reviewing everything from best practices to advanced game theory.
What I'd like to do is set up an intermediary "best practices" audit team that can come in for just a few days to standardize & modularize any code that is written poorly. Some benefits from this audit team:
- audits will be more accessible to cash-strapped teams. As it's quick audit, it will be cheaper than audits from high caliber teams and teams will have shorter wait times for an audit
- if a protocol still plans to have a formal audit after, this will reduce headaches for the audit team and allow them to focus solely on their technical scope

BeyondNFT is a platform that allows creators to make a new kind of NFT that is called "Interactive NFT" and is defined by html/css and JavaScript code, which allows an infinite possibility of things to become NFT.
Interactive Art? Audio player customized? Game items that evolve depending on their real stats? Minigame? Social experiments? All is possible.
The idea is to create something that is flexible enough to accommodate the most needs in term of interactivity and dynamism.
This new type, "Interactive NFT" is Open Source, and I invite everyone to participate in its development so it stays secure for users, but usefull for all NFT creators
Ideas of functionalities: right now people can code directly in the browser. After launching on Mainnet I will focus on the Templates (users will be able to reuse Interactive NFT templates and for example only have to upload an image and a few .wav file to mint and exchange and NFT that allows to play music) and on Filters (imagine coming with an old useless crypto kitty and adding a filter specifically created for cryptokitties that will transform it into a kind of Tamagotchi that you can feed and interact with, or just add animations on it and make it gorgeous)
Other functionalities are welcome. I want users to be able to create "collections" to sort their NFTs and showcase them. Also to be able LazyMint (minting without having to make a transaction) → contract is already ready, I just need to finish what I'm doing and be able to work on being compatible with it just after.
Management: Another point where I am clueless is everything that is management (in term of a company). BeyondNFT is a side project that is born from a Hackathon. I didn't have time, nor have a lot of clues how, to register a company or anything. I am based in Berlin, Germany, and I know I should go through the process but this is something that is actually scary in a way; Any information / guidance by people who already went through registering crypto products / companies in Europe could be very appreciated.
Technical thoughts: Ideas of improvements and evolution to the "Interactive NFT" standard (https://github.com/beyondnft/sandbox) from technical people would also be awesome. This is really thought in a way to be flexible and accommodate most needs (configuration, flexibility, embedding, ...) but I am definitely missing things, so even ideas of what would be nice to be able to do (signing messages, having artists sign the content of the code so users can decide what code they execute or not, ...) there are lot of things possible and that would make the concept more secure for end users.

BeyondNFT has been created during a Hackathon in November. the idea was first to allow artists to create interactive Art and not have to always transform their arts into GIFs or Videos, losing interactivity, dynamism, quality and potentially infinite randomness.
It quickly appears that this interactivity was not needed only for Art, which is why instead of doing something solely for this purpose, I went to the path of trying to create a "standard" way of creating NFTs defined by code: Interactive NFTs (https://github.com/beyondnft/sandbox)
Since then, I have been working on BeyondNFT as a side project since I am a freelance web engineer next to that.
After Participation to the Untilted NFT Hackathon during which a pre-alpha was deployed on Rinkeby, I participated to the Matic Build'n'Earn round 2, where I had a great support from the Matic team and all other builders from the program.
Matic has been a natural choice for me, because I have this feeling that the NFT world is elitist, in the way that people need to have Ether to be able to mint and share their creations. This, is an entry barrier for younger people or overall Artists and people who are living in places where they can not procure Ether. By going on a network with very low fees, I have been able to take the minting costs and allow people to just create and sell their creations, without having to use any crypto. Reducing the cost of entry and not really curating the arts is something that I think is important for me. I understand platforms that only want "the best content/artists" but this is also too elitist for what I would like to build.
Kernel is the next adventure, and I have already met great fellows and mentors. I was unsure to want to work on BeyondNFT or join other fellows projects, but I can see now that focusing on one is the most efficient way.
- Week 3: I commited during the COMMIT-REVEAL Kernel event to finally start the refactoring of the old legacy code that was created during the Hackaton. It's going smoothly enough. I have my scripts that are migrating the database from a Firebase to a Postgresql, and I am now creating a new back-end code to handle all the API.
This is going nicely, I hope to be finished this week and then be able to work on the integration to deploy on Mainnet (I am already on Matic and xDai) in the next 10 to 14 days.
See Bloom's website for current state of the project, it's basically an IRL DAO. Here is a dashboard of our biz/gov/dev blueprints. The local chapters program is flowering with 30,000 people involved, now we need to build (plug in together) our digital infrastructure to make it easier to grow and to financially intercooperate.
The goal of my adventure here is to hone in on the MVP to start with, and understand better how to form a paid team for the first time. We have been waiting to start our digital infrastructure until Web3 was ready enough for our non-engineer members to use.
Adventure:
1) Learn more about the Web3 ecosystem and build relationships between grassroots communities and Web3.
2) Learn how to lay out our roadmap. (answer so far- write down what you want to build, then condense to what to build first, then speak to a couple potential developers and see what they think about it)
3) (done, thx Andrej Berlin) how to do user journey mapping for our digital-physical network.
4) (done, thx Fran Renzi and Hammad): Understand what's needed to implement Web 3 tools for profiles (MyMeta) and member registration (Superfluid)
5) (in progress) Do a mentor session with a token expert regarding our regenerative economic protocol, for insights on next steps. Currently learning via conversation with Harold Davis, Sparrow, and Andy re: commodification dangers.
6) Absorb the process here - we'd like to foster similar learning experiences across diverse backgrounds in the way Bloom facilitates people participating in regenerative cultures.
While Bloom has a fully functioning and scaled offering of our local Bloom chapters (hubs for communities to learn and collaborate toward brighter futures), we need to build the alpha version of our digital infrastructure, and that is a new process to me. I've only worked in IRL-based collectives, so I have no corporate experience with product development. I think anyone who wants to collaborate on it would learn from our 13-year R&D process.

Bloom Network was founded by former Evolver “Sporeganizers”, who produced community events for the Evolver social network, which was online from 2007-2012. People were blogging about diverse social movements, coming out of the financial breakdown in 2008, as well as integrating insights about society that they were having from entheogenic experiences. Together we were seeing how society could be different to support more equitable and loving ways of being. We wanted to meet each other in person to do meetups and make our visions real.
Hundreds of Sporeganizers across 11 countries and 5 continents hosted meetups across the network, to upskill communities on everything from aquaponics to meditation to cooperative economics. Over 80,000 people were coming together, forming deep friendships and collaborations, incubating over 50 businesses and projects. In 2012 Evolver pivoted and suddenly removed the social network website without consulting the local leaders.
In 2013, the Sporeganizers formed a Wisdom Council to create a peer-to-peer leadership model for a digital-physical social network led by local communities on the ground. In 2016 Bloom Network was born. The initial social network was based on the whitepaper, The Augmented Social Network written in 2000. Bloom is now actively collaborating with Web3 communities to implement structures for rapid collaboration locally and globally, to effectively address pressing issues such as climate change and inequality. Many people and groups have contributed to what Bloom is today.
Financial history: Sean Parker, co-founder of Napster and first president of Facebook, catalyzed the start of the local chapters with a $250,000 donation in 2008. We’ve since received two donations totaling $24,000 from the Thriving Resilient Communities Collaboratory. We are currently operating on volunteer power.

Bloomeria is a decentralized and autonomous platform that acquires, manages and safeguards green areas. Every year the surface of these areas is eroded by urbanization and land use. Citizens and organizations often try to prevent this; but they face two big difficulties:
- Citizens are too disorganized;
- Organizations are slowed down by administrative burden and mostly depend on public financing.
Bloomeria will partner with existing environmental organizations that create natural reserves. We will help them to tokenize their plots of land. This will enable those organizations to access new sources of funding. The newly created tokens will allow holders to take part in Bloomeria’s governance. This includes:
- Electing the executive team;
- Voting the yearly budget;
- Changing the project approval process.
Bloomeria will also allow citizens to tokenize and manage their own protected areas thanks to Bloomeria’s tools. The DAO will be linked to a legal structure in the physical world, which will keep the acquired land in its possession.
Bloomeria will be a service platform. It will provide fundraising tools, collaborative management instruments, administrative simplification, as well as the increased visibility stemming from its international network.

I am simply a random community member that wants to be more efficient in my support of the web3 ecosystem.
CICOLAB is an early-stage mutual commitment organization for deep visionary entrepreneurs. We have spent the last year getting together currency enthusiasts, gamers, facilitators, geeks and artists, to ideate on ways to augment our network intelligence so we can maximize our members’ capabilities and bring out hidden leadership qualities in each of us. We attract polymath weirdos who are happy to finally find others who understand what they are trying to do, and who feel they finally have a place of real support and appreciation.
We also religiously record, summarize and make publicly available our weekly Monday sessions so that anyone can jump in and quickly get up to speed on our continuing conversations.
We would like to figure out how we take the immense talent and resources available in this pool and alchemize it into pure and powerful magic. We have experts in gaming: how do we implement that knowledge to incentivize us to work together better? We have experts in governance: how can we bring this into practical use to make better decisions about how to distribute our resources? We have experts in currency: how can we use this knowledge to better track our value flows throughout the network?
We are hoping to attract those in Kernel who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get to work in order to make this happen; the people with courage, who are so determined to meet their objectives that they are willing to fail. We'd love to meet those who have been developing network tools to augment our sensemaking, creativity, connection, and our ability to execute, and who are willing to share that knowledge for our common benefit. I met Lenara in 2018. I was doing research and came across her work on currencies and contacted her. She became our advisor and we met several times. She was the first person who read our white paper, The Invisible Economy. I met Sparrow through the crypto art ecosystem right after we published our white paper last June. I learned that she was an artist and a technologist so I reached out to her to collaborate. She had heard a lot about us from Lenara and her husband Ilan, who is an artist on DADA. After Sparrow read our white paper she became really involved in building DADA’s Invisible Economy. Doing research about Cadcad, I met someone who recommended a course from the Token Academy. I posted in our chat if anyone wanted to join me and Lenara and Sparrow both joined in. That’s where we met Sebnem who was our instructor. Sebnem was so inspired by the Invisible Economy that she decided to help us build the model. She thinks it could become a new pattern that is completely different from all currently existing models. We presented the Invisible Economy at the RadicalXChange conference in June. RxC proposed to us to form an RXC track for the Invisible Economy to continue the conversation. We started a working group with three task forces: “Governance”, “Contribution Metrics” and “Value Flows”. Anuj joined our working group via RxC. He runs an RXC chapter in India. We’ve all been working together, along with other collaborators since we started the working groups in September.

I'm not sure if that mean's I'll pursue my idea detailed below, or if I'll join someone else's project.

Building a decentralized search engine. I'm at the very beginning of this "adventure" so am interested in finding collaborators! TL;DR: Google doesn’t cut it for search anymore, particularly as user-generated content continues to increase in number, quality, and fragmentation across platforms. If I, for instance, Google decentralized governance, I get very basic Wikipedia and IMF articles.
This serves some use case, but I want to see different results - I want to see the BEST podcasts, Medium posts, and Tweetstorms on the topic by leading crypto entrepreneurs, investors, and academics. I might want to see what the people I follow on Twitter have written on the topic (or what the people they follow have written on the topic) .
I think there is MASSIVE opportunity to build in this space. Two ideas: 1) a generalizable indexer for content which one can fork and plug in custom search variables into (I.e. show me what the people I follow on Twitter have written on X). 2) a token which incentivizes “in-groups” (I.e. people within crypto) to rank content on a particular topic (I.e. decentralized governance). Their ranking will impact the content which shows up in response to a search on that topic.

I believe that there are many very creative people out there who'd like to create a DeFi app but the learning curve for them is just to steep. By giving them a friendly UI and a scratch-based approach they could choose from a given subset of possible blocks and their connections and put together a new smart contract without writing any single line of code. This would not only be good for testing but also for static code analysis and later easier maintainability and auditing because you basically can rely on the generated code to a certain extent. I guess that could be used for gaming, DeFi, NFTs and many more applications. I'd like to have a look into the solidity language features and also in the possibilities to extend it with a schema on top of it. If that sounds like a cool idea for you, I'd be very happy to tell you more about it and do some brainstorming ;-)

Defi is providing a growing number of ways to invest, lend/borrow, generate yield, hedge etc. There are a lot of permutations possible due to composability of Defi but there is no easy way to curate and share them. A "spell" is a user contributed strategy to optimize the returns generated by different DeFi protocols and assets. Example spell for "Exposure to ETH while bearish on BTC" would suggest minting Synthetix sUSD using ETH as collateral and swapping it for iBTC while staking it for rewards. The web interface will allow users to browse strategies or submit one. Twitter is a popular place where users already share their strategies and mentioning @defispell will allow users to automatically link it to existing spells or generate new ones.

Got addicted to crypto in 2016 and at the same time, I was studying economics so I also discovered how shitty the financial system was. From there I studied how token economics and the way we can leverage blockchain/game theory to provide fair economies. From 9 am-5 pm I was working in tech/crypto and as soon as I got off work I went straight to the music studio where was I was managing artists and coming up with ways to pay my artist's rent. So now I'm combining both worlds of crypto and music to destroy the evil music industry 😂

tl:drs - why - how (this is the format for how I describe the following ideas)
tl:dr versioning democracy
why: need to enable rapid and large scale decentralized experimentation on governance / policy to achieve mutual understanding of what do most stake holders want, how to best achieve that, and run the experiments. in the context of communities for example... if a certain community has "bad" policy (cough... electoral college... cough...) then there will be bad outcomes and since people can vote with their feet these communities will either need to adapt / update policy via a orderly process or die out (in the long run) because members = strength and resources. The key is to enable communities to experiment and achieve best equilibrium quickly ... and the rest of us can learn what works / what doesn't.
how: updatable eth contract (V1...when deprecated points to V2 ... points to V3)
tl:dr lower cost / more trustable oracles via game theory (verification games)
why: blockchain needs oracles to scale (I think of oracles as the interface between the web2 world and web3 world / blockchains) ... but that reduces trustability and decentralization (we trust the smart contract which trusts the oracles but can / should we?).
how: reward + staking for API calls or computation... if you have a different result you get a penalty.
tl:dr how do I know your data is legit and beneficial for my goals without getting access first?
why: AI (well...deep learning mostly) eats data for breakfast. data is a valuable asset that after its decrypted becomes less "scarce" and may loose its entire value. But if not inspectable ... how does the demand side de-risk and determine the value?
how: this is more in an exploratory stage, but likely has to do with differential privacy and some application of game theory.
tl:dr content credibility... a potential solution to deep fakes and conspiracy theories...
why: (preface... even if we build this ppl who really need this may not use it... but... still worth a mental experiment...). There is asymmetrical risk right now for media... if you have a "strong reputation" and you make a mistake... it barely affects the brand... because the negative impact / consequences are more transient. But credibility and trust should be earned and lost with time and evidence and be widely visible. And all other players in the environment can be the judge.
how: each content source / creator is associated with an anonymous identity... the content earns credibility by being randomly judged by peers (so you are likely to get bias from a wider / balanced audience)... the judges are in turn peer rated on their rationale / data / analysis) for why they support / does not support a piece of content. in the long run you have a group of more reputable judges (whose vote could weigh slightly more, or slightly more in a specific community / domain of expertise... we might even call these "professional troll hunters") and content sources... and the judges / content sources could lose credibility if their quality / behavior changes. since now a strong credibility is an asset and is tracked there is a stronger incentive to protect credibility. this system can become quite "monopolistic" but the algorithm (likely a reinforcement learning type algo) / the smart contract can adapt control the level of concentration by adjusting how newer judges / content gets weighted / evaluated... (similar to how mining difficulty is adjusted for stability...)
tl:dr: accountable and effective philanthropy / micro-finance
why: there is money coming from the rich but they are terribly inefficiently used. wealth only gets more concentrated and charity donations are used as tax tools and are rathe ineffective at redistribution of wealth and wealth creation. we need to make the connection to impact more direct and visible. (If you know a certain org has spent 80 cents on the dollar on lattes for staff and only 20 cents to housing the homeless... I am guessing you will not invest or donate, if you are a wealth individual looking to do good and you know a certain impact fund has reduced childhood hunger by 20% per year in the last yr... you might put your money there.)
how: track social investor's $ and their impact... create a public or private dashboard... and also track investment professional's decisions but in the context of impact and also $ returns.

Our extension market place enables customization of NFT functionality. For example, you can enable your NFT to contain different types of content (music, imaging, mixed media, application code) or policies around the NFT (governance systems, sub-tokens, contractual obligations, internal bonding curves, etc) that any developer can publish to and earn revenue based on the impact of the projects who use it.

Building a platform dedicated to gaining expenditures data on elections across jurisdictions.
The purpose lies in aggregating election data on a map and informing readers about re-election timelines and past expenditures of candidates. When to run for office and how much money do the opponents spend are the first two questions that site visitors would have after checking the landing page of the specific race.
A vision of the project with is to
1) aggregate election timeline data on an interactive map & detail the expenditures of historical candidates
2) document the process for developing a platform, creating a party, finding ethos and perfecting policy, running and managing an election campaign, holding office and debating policy & transposing it into law
3) decentralise and fair launch the platform as an equivalent of a SuperPAC in the form of a DAO
4) fund, construct & coordinate political campaigns centered around policies

I want to make a website where poems or riddles are generated from seed phrases. People are invited to enjoy the poems/ riddles as they are OR attempt to "crack" them and identify the underlying seed phrase. If they successfully find the seed phrase, they get a prize (whatever is in the wallet).
You can charge people a small amount to play, that way the game is self-funding. Or artists can submit their own poems/ riddles with NFTs or other items.

I (Dan) am on a lifelong quest to crowd/open-source nations. And I had the privilege of being born in Venezuela, the son of three generations of political exiles. My conviction is that the future of governance can't be nurtured exclusively in obscure Discord channels, but must also tap into the grassroot movements of the global south. My most personal work is rooted in exponential tech, regeneration and radical participatory design. I intend to work (slowly now) towards weaving the network to build Synapsis Network and pilot it in LATAM.

The Salad Fund is a decentralized automated investment fund for college students. A lot of college students want to invest and build a portfolio but don't have the time to research what to pick or how to start. The Salad Fund is a pooled investment fund on Enzyme Protocol that integrates an intuitive on-ramp api to make it easier to hop on/hop off the fund. The fund is made of different sub-funds with different market risk assessments, governed by a DAO.

Tonic starts as a DeFi project with the goal of expanding into a community and mechanism for distributed coordination for tackling hard problems. Our first step will be to attract initial interest by releasing useful DeFi tools and thereafter align the community via a coordination mechanism most likely based on a governance token. Once the community reaches a critical mass we will organize around problems to be solved. Initially in the DeFi space but as the community reach grows we might adventure into more ambitious undertakings.

The Idea
Introduction
Bridging the gap between Pharma and the individual. Using blockchain technology to securely provide, process and regulate information across the pharmaceutical supply chain and beyond.
VOQ’s core proposition is to provide a robust and sophisticated technological solution for UK drug manufacturers to meet their regulatory requirements, including the traceability, authenticity and accountability of their products. In addition, the solution provided by VOQ will empower the individual to have the ability to verify the products’ authenticity and be alerted to product recalls and use by dates.
Through the use of blockchain technology, VOQ will transform the UK pharmaceutical sector, improving their ability to securely provide, process and regulate drugs (particularly in traceability and recall efficiency). Our platform will improve the traceability of drugs; identifying falsified medicines; alerting consumers of recalled purchases and use by dates. While improving UK drug standards, incentivising feedback on side-effects, thus mitigating health risks to consumers in the future. Our bespoke platform will generate commercial data that will improve not only an individual's experience but also aid in the research and development of enhanced medicines.
The idea for VOQ initially targeted the developing countries where the falsification of drugs is most prevalent. Even in the poorest of areas, the population own smartphones, and so by incentivising reporting, those living in these conditions would be able to ensure the drugs are safe and authentic whilst also financially rewarding for the individual for authenticating via the app. It is still the intention to roll this out as a foundation project, once the tech and infrastructure exist to support it.
Looking for co-founders, collaborators and anyone who wants to help or knows people who might be able to help, that would be amazing. Specifically, I am experimenting with various engagement strategies and the future use of ZKs or homomorphic encryptions for individual privacy. Privacy enhancing technology is paramount I believe. But lets build mini prototypes first to see if the use case can work.

So far it is only me, I've been slowly building, reaching out to various networks, VCs and communities. London Blockchain Labs has been a massive help so far, they have allowed me to share my idea, give critical feedback and help me grow my understanding of smart contracts. I fully understand that I need to build a team around VOQ and a community for it to work. It is a little seedling being nurtured.
